Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff Launch Unscripted Freestyle Wrestling League Real American Freestyle

Professional wrestler Hulk Hogan and WCW’s greatest promoter Eric Bischoff have joined forces 25 years after their iconic nWo run to launch an “unscripted” freestyle-wrestling league called Real American Freestyle. The league is promising a legitimate sports competition with high-impact moves designed to captivate modern audiences.

Real American Freestyle aims to become a recognized sport, currently existing only as a television property in professional leagues. Bischoff emphasized that the league needs a long-term media partner who can bring significant value beyond just streaming platforms.

The lead financier of Real American Freestyle is Left Lane Capital, with early-stage technology investor Cassius also providing funding. Hogan’s Real American Beer serves as title sponsor, and USA Wrestling, the NCAA, and NIL organizations are on board to support top athletes in competing regardless of their NCAA status.

Competitors will have opportunities to earn “seven figures” through bonuses for wins and championship purses adhering to NCAA regulations. The roster already includes 40 athletes aged 18-40, including Olympic champions Ben Askren and Kennedy Blades.

Israel “Izzy” Martinez, a legendary amateur-wrestling coach, has joined Hogan and Bischoff as the league’s third man. Real American Freestyle aims to produce high-quality packages introducing athletes to fans and potential viewers, similar to The Voice music competition.

The league is seeking media partners who can help build this new sport. With its focus on showcasing personalities and promoting a connection between athletes and audiences, Real American Frestyle hopes to become a major player in the combat sports industry.
