Professional wrestler Hulk Hogan’s official cause of death has been revealed as a heart attack due to acute myocardial infarction. The Pinellas County Forensic Science Center documents obtained by USA TODAY Sports confirm that Hogan died after suffering cardiac arrest on July 24 at the age of 71.
According to the Mayo Clinic, his heart condition was atrial fibrillation, which caused an irregular and rapid heart rhythm. Hogan also had leukemia CLL, a type of cancer affecting white blood cells and bone marrow.
Despite initial speculation about his health, Hogan’s friends and family reported that he was in good health before his passing. A statement from the Clearwater Police Department confirmed that no foul play or suspicious activity was suspected in his death.
Hogan was a wrestling icon who played a significant role in transforming the sport into a global phenomenon. With six WWE Championship titles and two inductions into the WWE Hall of Fame, he remains one of the most popular figures in professional wrestling history.
