Hulk Hogan’s Cause of Death Revealed as Heart Attack

Former WWE wrestling star Hulk Hogan has died at 71 due to acute myocardial infarction, a heart attack caused by coronary artery disease. According to his cremation report, obtained by ABC News, Hogan also had a history of atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Hogan’s death was certified by his primary care physician, and his wife shared a statement expressing her faith in his strength despite his health complications. The wrestling icon, who began his career in 1977, is widely credited for helping to turn professional wrestling into a mainstream phenomenon in the 1980s.

Born as Terry Gene Bollea, Hogan left behind two children, daughter Brooke and son Nick. His family’s statement described him as “a legend” but also “my partner. My heart.” The National Cancer Institute noted his history of CLL, a cancer affecting the blood and bone marrow.
