WWE Star Hulk Hogan’s Cause of Death Revealed as Heart Attack

Legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71 due to an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. According to a cremation report obtained by ABC News, Hogan died on July 24, with his primary care physician certifying his death.

Hogan had previously revealed health complications, including atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), but his wife did not provide further details. The National Cancer Institute describes CLL as a cancer of the blood and bone marrow.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state that acute myocardial infarction is often caused by coronary artery disease. Emergency officials responded to a call for cardiac arrest on July 24, taking Hogan to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

WWE has paid tribute to Hogan, describing him as “one of pop culture’s most recognizable figures” who helped the company achieve global recognition in the 1980s. His family shared a statement expressing their sadness and gratitude for the memories left behind by this wrestling icon.
