Humane AI Pin Discontinuation Imminent: Download Data Before Feb. 28

Artificial Intelligence (AI) wearable device Humane AI pin is set to be discontinued at the end of this week due to its acquisition by HP. The device will no longer function after February 28, 2025, and all consumer data will be deleted on that date.

According to Humane’s statement, users can download their stored pictures, videos, and notes from .Center before the deadline to avoid losing their data. A review by CNET principal writer Scott Stein found the device to have interesting ideas but a poor execution, with issues such as overheating, poor control, and inaccuracies in tasks like language translation and object recognition.

Users are advised to sync their pins over Wi-Fi and download their data before February 28 to prevent loss of information. The discontinuation marks the end of an era for AI enthusiasts who purchased the device, which was marketed as a wearable “AI-powered Star Trek communicator.”
