IDF Strikes at Houthi-Controlled Ports in Yemen

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened to assassinate top Houthi leaders following recent strikes on two Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen. The attacks were carried out by the IDF, which also issued a statement emphasizing its commitment to protecting Israeli residents from threats.

Katz stated that if the Houthis continue to fire missiles towards Israel, they will suffer severe consequences and face targeted assassinations of their leaders. He mentioned Deif, the Sinwars in Gaza, Nasrallah in Beirut, and Haniyeh in Tehran as examples of previous targets. The IDF also attempted to assassinate a Sinwar leader on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the strikes as just the beginning, vowing to target the Houthis’ leadership and infrastructure. He specifically mentioned Iran’s alleged support for the group, stating that they will face a heavy price. Israel aims to defend its security by all necessary means.

The IDF issued warnings prior to the attacks and reaffirmed its determination to operate against those posing a threat to Israeli residents.
