The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall notice for Igloo 90 Qt. Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers due to a pinch hazard associated with the tow handle. According to the CPSC, there have been approximately 1,060,000 reported incidents of fingertip injuries, including amputations and lacerations.
The recalled coolers were manufactured prior to January 2024 and feature a tow handle with an “IGLOO” logo on the side. Consumers who own these coolers are advised to immediately stop using them and contact Igloo for a free replacement handle.
Igloo has received 12 reports of fingertip injuries, including bone fractures and lacerations. The CPSC urges consumers to take action to avoid any further harm and provides resources for reporting product-related injuries and seeking assistance with recalls.
