Igloo brand rolling coolers have been recalled in North America due to reports of injuries, including fingertip amputations and lacerations. The recall affects over 1.06 million units sold between January 2019 and 2025.
The issue lies with the tow handle, which can pinch people’s fingertips against the cooler, causing crushing hazards. Customers who have experienced pain or injury while using the handle are advised to stop using it immediately and contact Igloo for a replacement handle.
A total of 12 reported incidents involved fingertip amputations, bone fractures, and lacerations. The affected coolers were sold on Amazon, Igloo’s website, and at retailers such as Costco and Target. Consumers should be cautious when handling the recalled products to prevent further injuries.
