California-based startup Impulse Space has secured a massive $300 million Series C funding round led by Linse Capital, marking the company’s efforts to revolutionize satellite technology with its “tugging” spacecraft. Impulse Space, founded by Tom Mueller, a former SpaceX employee, boasts 30 contracts worth approximately $200 million. The investment influx underscores the growing importance of defense-tech companies, akin to oilfield service firms that supported the fracking boom. Notably, prominent investors including DFJ Growth, Airbus Ventures, and Lux Capital have joined forces with existing backers like Valor Equity Partners and First Principles Group.
