In-N-Out Burger, a California institution synonymous with traffic and beaches, plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Tennessee as part of a West Coast consolidation. The company aims to move 200 employees from California to the new location by 2029.
The Irvine office, which has been In-N-Out’s second home for the past 31 years, will be closed, and employees will either work from Baldwin Park or Franklin, Tennessee. A new “Eastern territory” office is being built in Franklin, with a projected cost of $126 million. The move is expected to be completed by late 2026.
Lynsi Snyder, owner and president of In-N-Out Burger, cited her family’s wishes as the reason for the relocation, saying it will bring the “In-N-Out family back together” and enable better service to customers. This expansion marks a significant shift east for In-N-Out, with plans to open 35 locations in Tennessee by 2029.
