Indiana Fever Make Roster Moves Ahead of Season Halt

The Indiana Fever have announced that guard Sophie Cunningham will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season due to a season-ending injury in her right knee. The team also signed guard Shey Peddy on a seven-day hardship contract and released guard Kyra Lambert.

Cunningham, who averaged 6.3 points and 2.4 assists per game last season, suffered the injury during Sunday’s game against the Connecticut Sun. Her injury is expected to keep her sidelined for the rest of the season.

Peddy, a six-year WNBA veteran, joins the Fever with an impressive track record. She has averaged 5.9 points and 2.3 assists in her career while shooting 40.2% from the field. Peddy most recently played for the LA Sparks on a hardship contract, where she averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 assists over six games.

Peddy will wear No. 5 for the Fever as part of her new deal. Lambert, who had made her WNBA debut with the team just days prior, has been released from her seven-day hardship contract.
