Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Early Access Buyers Get Delayed Ray Tracing

Nvidia has announced that early access buyers of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s Premium Edition will not initially receive full ray tracing. The game launches for everyone else on December 9th, with shadows, reflections, and global illumination to be accurately rendered using Full Ray Tracing.

Early access to the Premium Edition costs $99.99, a $30 increase over the standard price of $69.99. However, early access isn’t cheap, and some buyers may feel disappointed by the delay in receiving this graphics option.

According to MachineGames’ CTO Jim Kjellin, hardware ray tracing is required due to the game’s use of global illumination and the engine MOTOR, which relies on compatible hardware for high-fidelity performance. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will also be available on Xbox Series X / S and PS5 in spring 2025.
