Indie Game Schedule 1 Faces Copyright Investigation Over Alleged Similarities

A popular indie game called Schedule 1 has become the subject of a copyright investigation by another developer, Drug Dealer Simulator’s studio, Movie Games S.A. The investigation claims that Schedule 1 may have used elements from Drug Dealer Simulator, including plot, mechanics, and user interface. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the outcome, Schedule 1 continues to enjoy success on Steam, with over 130,000 concurrent players in just two days. The game has also sold nearly 3 million copies as of April 2025. The investigation is ongoing, but it raises questions about the potential for copyright infringement and whether parallel thinking can be a coincidence or something more sinister.
