IndyCar Practice Canceled Due to Heavy Fog at Laguna Seca

Heavy fog blanketed the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca circuit, causing IndyCar to cancel its 8:30am practice session. The session was paused due to visibility concerns and emergency helicopter operations. Teams remained on pit lane until approximately 9:45am.

The cancellation is not uncommon at Laguna Seca, which struggles with morning fog. With Sunday’s warm-up also facing an early start, the series may move it to later today after qualifying from 11:35am-1pm. This marks Marshall Pruett’s 39th year in IndyCar coverage as a writer, reporter, and team manager for RACER.
