Instagram has announced its new video editing software called “Edits”, which is designed to compete with popular app CapCut. The company’s CEO Adam Mosseri showcased Edits in a Reel, emphasizing the importance of providing creators with top-notch tools. Edits boasts a suite of creative features, including an improved camera, advanced editing tools, and insightful analytics on video performance.

* A “much higher-quality camera” for better content
* Editing tools to enhance videos
* Powerful insights into follower and skip rates
Edits will be available in the App Store on March 13, 2025. Meanwhile, CapCut’s uncertain future remains as its existence hangs in the balance.
