Intel’s Arc B580 GPU has been leaked via a Geekbench result, showing specs that might raise some eyebrows among PC gamers. The score itself is not very meaningful, but it provides key details about the GPU.
The leak suggests that the B580 will have 12GB of VRAM and a boost clock running up to 2.85GHz, along with 160 Compute Units (CUs), which translates to around 20 Xe2 cores. While this is lower than the existing Arc A580’s 24 cores, it’s worth noting that the B580 might still offer faster performance thanks to its new architecture.
Furthermore, the B580 will have more VRAM than the A580, with a significant boost in memory bandwidth compared to its predecessor. This could make up for any potential loss of core count. It’s also possible that Intel will target the budget-end of the GPU market with competitive pricing.
The leaked specs are part of a trend of leaks surrounding Intel’s Battlemage GPUs, set to launch in December according to rumors. While there’s still uncertainty about these plans, it seems likely that we’ll see the B580 unveiled next month.
