Intel has announced its first dedicated next-generation “Battlemage” architecture-based graphics cards, the Arc B580 and Arc B570. Both mid-range GPUs will compete with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 and AMD’s RX 7600 series, offering competitive pricing of $249 for the B580 (12GB RAM) and $219 for the B570 (10GB RAM). The B580 launches on December 13, while the B570 is set to arrive on January 16.
The new GPUs mark a significant upgrade from Intel’s previous “Alchemist” architecture-based A-series cards, with both B-series cards manufactured on a 5nm TSMC process. The improved architecture and manufacturing process are expected to provide better performance compared to their predecessors.
Intel has also made significant strides in its graphics drivers over the last two years, resulting in noticeable improvements in performance for older games since late 2022. The new Battlemage cards will come with XeSS 2, an upscaling technology similar to Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR. This feature aims to improve gameplay by interpolating additional frames, reducing latency, and providing smoother visuals.
The Arc B580 and Arc B570 are Intel’s first dedicated GPUs manufactured in-house, marking a significant milestone for the company. Both cards will be available from various partners, including Asus, ASRock, Gunnir, Maxsun, Onix, and Sparkle, offering buyers a range of options.
