Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures are bringing an early Christmas gift to fans of sci-fi with the special IMAX rerelease of Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar.” The film, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this fall, will return to IMAX screens nationwide starting December 6.
Starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain, “Interstellar” follows a time-bending voyage into the heart of a wormhole near Saturn in search of a habitable exoplanet. However, the journey becomes increasingly challenging due to the presence of a nearby black hole.
The film, which was nominated for five Oscars, features stunning visuals and Hans Zimmer’s haunting original score. This limited release will include exclusive 70mm IMAX screenings at select theaters across the US and Canada, with dozens more locations offering Digital IMAX screenings as well.
Fans can catch “Interstellar” in IMAX at over a dozen participating venues, including Cinemark Dallas & IMAX, AutoNation IMAX, Museum of Discovery & Science, and AMC Lincoln Square 13 & IMAX. For a full list of participating theaters, visit the Space.com website.
