A recent study published in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology found that introducing 13 or 14 different foods to 9-month-old babies significantly lowers their risk of developing a food allergy. The findings suggest that a more diverse diet at this age can have a protective effect against food allergies, which are among the most common and severe types of allergic reactions.
