Investors’ Top Fears for 2025 Market Stability

Investors are growing increasingly concerned about the stability of the stock market in 2025, with a new report from Deutsche Bank Research revealing that their top fears have shifted compared to last year.

A global trade war has emerged as the biggest risk to market stability, surpassing concerns over a US tech sector downturn and inflation. According to Jim Reid, global head of macro and thematic research at Deutsche Bank, these risks are seen as major threats to investors heading into 2025.

In contrast, just last December, investors were most worried about a “hard landing” for the US economy, which is no longer among their top concerns. The report highlights the changing landscape of investor fears in the lead-up to President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration and beyond.
