Apple’s latest leak on iOS 18.4 hints at significant improvements to its AI-powered virtual assistant, Siri, as well as the integrated Apple Intelligence feature. The upcoming update is expected to bring long-awaited capabilities to Siri, including better integration of personal context, cross-app functionality, and support for more languages.
According to leaked information, iOS 18.4 will enhance Siri’s ability to understand your unique situation, allowing it to provide personalized assistance without compromising on privacy. For example, you can ask Siri to add a friend’s address to their contact card or send an email draft to April and Lilly without having to switch between apps.
Another anticipated feature is cross-app functionality, which enables seamless interaction across multiple applications. This means you can make requests like “Send the email I drafted to April and Lilly” and have Siri complete the action without needing to lift a finger.
Furthermore, Apple Intelligence will gain support for additional languages in iOS 18.4, expanding its English dialects and adding Chinese, Indian, Singaporean, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and other languages. This update also lifts the restriction on using Apple Intelligence in the European Union with an Apple account country/region set to “EU.”
The iOS 18.4 update is expected to release in April, bringing significant progress for Siri and Apple Intelligence. However, it’s worth noting that these features will only be available on newer iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and future iPhone 16 and 17 models.
