iOS 26 Beta 7 Released, iPhone Users Get Major Updates

Apple has released the seventh developer beta version of its upcoming iOS 26 operating system, marking a significant step closer to the official launch. The new software promises to deliver a stunning new design, enhanced Apple Intelligence capabilities, and exciting updates to various apps.

The latest beta release builds on previous versions with several notable changes. Design tweaks include improved legibility in Control Center, better menu organization in Safari, and stronger accessibility options. Opaqueness has also been added to some tab bars, although this feature may be changed in the final version.

Notification summaries for news and entertainment apps have been reintroduced, addressing user feedback on Apple Intelligence’s text summary features. The Camera swipe direction toggle has been removed from iOS 26 beta 5, but new ringtones and faster animations were added instead.

iOS 26 will run on newer iPhone models, including the iPhone SE (2nd generation) and up, as well as iPhones 15 Pro and above. However, older iPhone models like the iPhone XR and iPhone XS will continue to receive security updates, even if they don’t get the latest features.
