Apple has released the fifth developer beta of iOS 26, introducing a new setting for the Camera app and some hidden details about the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra. The update increases the build number to 23A5308g and builds upon the design choices introduced in prior releases.
The iOS 26 update primarily features the “Liquid Glass” design language, which is used across all of Apple’s platforms. However, this beta introduces new animations and system icons that enhance the user experience. The fifth developer beta also includes a Foundation Models framework for developers to use Apple Intelligence tools in third-party apps.
One notable aspect of iOS 26 beta 5 is its impact on the Apple Watch Ultra series. A new image with a resolution of 422 by 514 pixels suggests that the watch’s screen size and pixel density may be changing, potentially indicating the introduction of the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
The update also includes tweaks to existing products, such as redesigned AirDrop icons, updated app icons, and bouncy OS animations. In addition, new toggles have been added for the Camera and Mail apps, including a toggle to restore the old navigation method in the Camera app.
While this beta doesn’t introduce groundbreaking features, it delivers some useful enhancements that are ideal for creative work on iPhone and business users. With Apple releasing new developer betas every two weeks, subsequent software releases will likely bring more exciting changes.
