Updated August 5 with more reports that double down on the release date and suggest iPhone 16 Pro Max pricing.
Apple will unveil the iPhone 16 series on Tuesday, September 10, according to reports from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg and other sources. This is surprising because Apple usually launches new iPhones in September.
The reveal date starts a process: pre-orders are likely to open on Friday, September 13, with the phones going on sale the following Friday, September 20.
A report from CNMO News says that the next iPhone 16 Pro Max will be sold for the same price as the current iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is $1,199.
Multiple sources agree on the release date, making it look solid. However, Mark Gurman has a new idea about Apple’s strategy with their latest feature, Apple Intelligence. It seems that Apple Intelligence won’t be ready in time for the September launch but will instead arrive in October when users can upgrade to iOS 18.1.
Apple is not delaying the release of the phones; instead, it will happen around the same time as last year’s launch, which was on Tuesday, September 10.
