Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air is expected to be the thinnest model yet, measuring around 5.5 mm in thickness. However, this sleek design comes with some significant trade-offs. The phone will feature a single camera, whereas its Pro counterparts boast three cameras.
Battery life is another area where the iPhone 17 Air falls short, thanks to reduced battery capacity. Leaks suggest a 2800mAh capacity, which is lower than last year’s iPhone 16 and 16 Pro (3500mAh) and even lower than the iPhone 17 Pro Max (5000mAh). Recently surfaced photos of the actual battery have further confirmed these reports.
The iPhone 17 Air’s reduced battery capacity may be a sacrifice some users are willing to make for its ultra-slim design. As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on this trade-off in the comments below.
