The upcoming iPhone 17 lineup has been leaked, showcasing a mismatched design between the different models. The base iPhone 16 model features a traditional squarish camera bump, while the new Air model boasts a slim design with only one rear camera. In contrast, the Pro and Pro Max models have larger cameras, which could be a concern for those who prefer a more streamlined look.
On the plus side, the increased variety might appeal to some buyers. Those who dislike the large camera island on the Pro models can opt for the Air instead, featuring a single rear camera. However, this design inconsistency raises questions about Apple’s approach to designing its flagship devices.
Despite the differences, all iPhone 17 models seem to share common features, such as aluminum frames and 3nm A19 chipsets. The Pro models might also benefit from improved cameras with 48MP capabilities, which could give them an edge over other top camera phones.
Interestingly, Apple is reportedly testing reverse wireless charging for its Pro models, which could provide a new feature to set them apart. Meanwhile, the base and Air models may finally get the long-awaited 120Hz displays. As the leak seems plausible given recent rumors, it’s likely that we’ll see this design in the actual iPhone 17 devices.
