Rumors are already circulating about the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models, which are expected to launch in September 2025. Here’s a summary of key features and updates rumored for the devices as of March 2025.
The iPhone 17 Pro models are reportedly set to feature an aluminum frame, a departure from the titanium frames used in previous models, and a new “part-aluminum, part-glass” design on the back.
Camera-wise, the devices are expected to have a large rectangular camera bump with rounded corners. The rear camera lenses will stick to a triangular arrangement, unlike previous models that used a more modern layout. The iPhone 17 Pro models are also rumored to include an A19 Pro chip, which will be manufactured using TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process.
For connectivity, all four iPhone 17 models will reportedly feature an Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip. Additionally, the devices are expected to come with upgraded front and rear cameras: a 24-megapixel front-facing camera and a new 48-megapixel Telephoto camera on the Pro models.
The RAM has also been increased to 12GB for both the iPhone 17 Pro Max and standard iPhone 17 models, replacing the previous 8GB offered in the lower-end iPhones. Furthermore, all four devices are expected to feature improved cooling systems for better heat dissipation.
Note that some initial rumors about the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s Dynamic Island design have been disputed, so this information has not been confirmed.
