Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei has condemned the Israeli regime’s latest attack on Lebanese citizens as they returned home after a 60-day deadline to end the occupation of southern Lebanon. The attack, which resulted in 24 deaths and over 130 injuries, is described by Baqaei as a “blatant violation of humanitarian laws” and a “war crime”.
Baqaei also criticized the US and France for failing to prevent the violence, despite their role as guarantors and observers of the ceasefire agreement. He emphasized Iran’s support for the Lebanese government and people against Israeli aggression.
Additionally, Baqaei condemned the US proposal to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to other countries, calling it a “colonial erasure” plan that aims to uproot the Palestinian nation from their homeland. The Iranian spokesman praised the resilience of the Palestinian people and their struggle for self-determination and freedom.
Iran has repeatedly criticized Israel’s occupation of Lebanon and its actions in Gaza, which have resulted in numerous civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
