Iran’s Surprise Reactions to US Attack

Iranian citizens and asylum seekers in France express shock and fear over the sudden US strike, fearing a power vacuum that could lead to chaos.

Iranians who follow politics had expected an American attack, but their reactions on social media suggest that regime supporters were caught off guard. Theatre director and founder of Parisian bookshop Utopiran Tinouche Nazmjou was surprised by the reaction.

Nazmjou launched debates titled “Debates Before the Fall” which attracted a large audience in Iran. Debates are held at his shop, where participants discuss their fears for the future. Among them is Bamdad, who shares concerns about the potential consequences of an American strike.

Bamdad, a 45-year-old asylum seeker from Iran, expressed fear over the potential power vacuum following the attack. He believes that a chaotic situation could arise if there were no clear leadership in place. His comments echo concerns expressed by many Iranians who are worried about the impact on their country.
