Rockstar Games’ official release window for Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has still not changed from Fall 2025, but concerns about a possible delay are growing. With over a year since the game’s first trailer was released, fans are starting to worry that it may be delayed.
However, an insider claims that there is no need to panic yet. @Mvbrr, a known Rockstar Games insider, points out that the developer has a history of changing its marketing patterns. A recent example of this is the port of Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which was released in March 2022.
Unlike traditional major releases, where concrete release dates are announced months in advance, the release window of GTA 6’s current-gen ports was only revealed in February 2022. This suggests that Rockstar may be taking a similar approach with GTA 6.
Another example is the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, which was released in November 2021. Although not as significant a release as GTA 6, it highlights Rockstar’s marketing patterns of releasing titles at short notice.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as there has been no official suggestion of a delay from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, the game’s parent company. The upcoming title is scheduled for Fall 2025 and will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Until then, fans can enjoy GTA V Online, which recently received a rare collectible and several new updates in the last few months.
