Israel Continues Gaza Attacks Amid Hostage Release Deal

Israel launched around 50 air strikes in Gaza on Wednesday night, targeting Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists, as well as military facilities and rocket launch positions.

The IDF has assured that it will provide necessary assistance and support to returning hostages and their families, including medical and mental health care. The military also targeted a Nukhba terrorist who took part in the October 7 massacre.

Hamas claimed one of its own was struck by an Israeli airstrike, but the IDF disputed this claim, stating that it is “currently reviewing the information” and cannot confirm its authenticity.

The air strikes are reportedly linked to Israel’s deal with Hamas over the release of female hostages. The deal is expected to be completed on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, there were reports of a rocket being fired near Nir Am, but these were later found to be false.
