Israel has been cracking down on Gaza, killing 30 Palestinians in one day. Tens of thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv to protest against the government and demand the return of all 50 captives held in Gaza.
The protesters, including former captives and families of those still held, addressed US President Donald Trump directly, calling for a deal that brings everyone home now. Policemen on horses clashed with protesters in Tel Aviv, and at least three people were arrested.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah criticized UEFA over the killing of Palestinian footballer Suleiman al-Obeid by Israeli soldiers in Gaza. The Israeli military claims it killed a “terrorist” in Lebanon but one person was confirmed killed.
Palestinian media reported that two nephews of senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya were among those killed in northern Gaza. Israel has been shelling Gaza City, which it intends to fully seize, displacing the population in concentrated zones.
In London, hundreds of protesters were arrested at a rally showing solidarity for Palestinians in Gaza, outside the Parliament. More protests are planned in the British capital on Sunday.
The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, with one child crushed to death by an aid package and 11 more Palestinians starving to death over the last 24 hours. Despite Israel’s plan to seize Gaza City, many Palestinians are refusing to leave their homes.
