The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has destroyed over 120 missile launchers, representing about one-third of Iran’s total number of launchers, according to Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin, the army’s spokesperson. The military also targeted ground-to-ground missiles and command centers in Isfahan, striking approximately 100 military targets.
The IDF confirms that it has been targeting key figures in the Iranian intelligence apparatus, including the head of the Revolutionary Guards’ Intelligence Organization and his deputy, as well as two other senior officials. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed these reports, stating that the possibility of overthrowing the Ayatollah regime is being considered.
Iran possesses thousands of missiles capable of reaching Israel, with plans to double their number, according to the IDF. The military believes this threat, combined with Iran’s nuclear program, justifies going to war at this time. Recent strikes have targeted sites in Tehran, including the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense and command centers linked to the nuclear project.
