Israel held a security meeting to discuss its plan to bring caravans into the Gaza strip, hours after three hostages were released. The decision comes amid controversy over whether the caravans were intended for families whose homes in Gaza were destroyed.
According to sources, Israel is working closely with the US on the matter. However, the Israeli government has denied claims that it brought caravans into the strip, saying they are being spread by Hamas as a fake video showing trucks carrying caravans inside Gaza.
The video in question was reportedly filmed in summer and not on a rainy day like today, according to sources in the Civil Administration. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has also denied the video, stating that there are no plans for caravans to enter the strip through the Rafah crossing.
Egyptian sources have claimed that mediators asked Israel to allow various types of aid into the Gaza Strip without restriction. The issue of medical evacuation of wounded people was also discussed, with Israel allegedly delaying their exit due to claims they belonged to Hamas.
