Israel Launches Long-Range Strike Against Houthi Terror Network

Israel’s navy launched a surprise strike against the Houthi terrorist network in Yemen, targeting the Hudaydah port to prevent its use for military purposes. The attack was conducted from hundreds of kilometers away using a Sa’ar 6 vessel.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) described the operation as “successful” and confirmed that there were no immediate reports of casualties. This strike comes just one month after Israel launched a significant attack against the port and nearby Sana’a International Airport.

US General Michael Kurilla warned lawmakers on Tuesday that Iran is the primary reason the Houthis remain a threat, stating that without Iranian support, the group would cease to exist. The deputy head of the Houthi media office dismissed the strike’s impact, claiming it had no significant effect on their operations in Gaza and preparations for potential escalation.

The IDF has threatened to enforce a naval and air blockade over the Houthis if attacks continue on Israel, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the two parties.
