Israel launched a strike on Gaza overnight, targeting a command and control center at the former “Musa bin Nusayr” School. The military said it aimed to neutralize terrorists who used the area for attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.
Before the strike, the IDF took extensive precautions to minimize civilian harm, using aerial surveillance, intelligence, and precision munitions. Reuters reported that the strike killed six people and injured others in Gaza’s civil emergency service, which is operated by Hamas.
Meanwhile, a separate report confirmed that Hamas official Muhammad Abu Askar was killed in a Jabalya strike earlier on Sunday. The IDF also carried out operations in Beit Lahiya and west of Beit Hanoun, killing terrorists and demolishing terror infrastructure.
