Israel Reaches Ceasefire Deal with Hamas, Releases Hostages

Israel has released eight hostages held captive by Hamas in Gaza, marking a significant development in the ongoing ceasefire deal between the two parties. The hostages included three Israelis and five Thai nationals. Initially, Israeli authorities delayed the release of 110 Palestinian prisoners due to chaotic scenes at the hostage handover. However, they continued with the releases later on Thursday.

As part of the ceasefire agreement, Israel is expected to free around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the release of the hostages. Two rounds of releases have already taken place, with eight of the remaining Israeli hostages set to be released being reported dead by the Israeli government. This move paves the way for further negotiations and a potential end to the conflict.
