Israeli forces have carried out airstrikes across the Gaza Strip and West Bank, killing at least 21 people. The strikes targeted residential areas, including Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City, which houses thousands of displaced Palestinians.
In the West Bank, a Palestinian man and his child were injured by shrapnel from Israeli bullets fired during a raid on Qabatiya town. Israeli special forces infiltrated the town and opened fire on the man’s car as he drove with his children.
The US has cut funding to the UN’s human rights agency for Palestine, citing bias against Israel. The move comes amid tensions between the two countries over Gaza and Iran.
In Yemen, US air strikes have targeted cities, including Sanaa and Saada governorates. At least 13 raids were reported in the al-Salem and Kitaf districts of Saada governorate.
Israel has also sent more military supplies to its forces, including ammunition for Gaza and engines for military vehicles worth $180m. The move is seen as part of preparations for potential attacks on Iran.
UN chief Antonio Guterres has condemned Israeli actions, saying 70% of Gaza is under forced evacuation orders or in “no-go” zones. He called for a ceasefire to be restored without delay.
