Israel Strikes Hezbollah’s UAV Unit in Beirut’s Dahiyeh Suburb

Israel launched a major air raid on Thursday targeting Hezbollah’s unit 127, a key player in the group’s unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations. The Israeli Air Force’s intelligence division, led by Lieutenant Colonel N., had been tracking the unit for over two years and gathered evidence of its involvement in UAV manufacturing.

Hezbollah’s Unit 127 has been responsible for importing and deploying UAVs from Lebanon into Israel, with notable successes during the war, including a drone attack on the Golani base. The Israeli military believes that Hezbollah is attempting to regroup and increase production of UAVs with Iranian support.

The Israeli Air Force targeted seven sites in Beirut and southern Lebanon, ensuring extensive evacuations and confirming no civilians were present before deploying munitions. Lt. Col. N. emphasized that preserving human life was a top priority while conducting the strikes.

Lebanon’s reaction to the attack has been calm so far, with residents not feeling the impact of the strike. The Israeli military sees this as an important achievement, allowing civilians to travel safely in the north.

The conflict is ongoing, and Israel aims to remain one step ahead of Hezbollah by preventing the group from acquiring sufficient capabilities.
