Israel Urges Global Action Against Hamas ‘Cruelty’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned a disturbing new video showing Israeli hostage Evyatar David in severe emaciation, stating that Hamas’ actions have “no boundaries.” Netanyahu said the terrorists are deliberately starving their hostages and using them for propaganda. He expressed shock over the materials distributed by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad and assured families of hostages that efforts to return them are ongoing.

David’s family described his situation as a “living skeleton” who may only have days left to live, saying Hamas is using him in a “horrific and calculated campaign of cruelty.” Netanyahu also spoke with the families, conveying his wife Sara’s condolences and assuring them that constant efforts will be made to return all hostages.

The US has been involved in talks with Hamas, but they reached a standstill two weeks ago. Recently, US Ambassador Mike Huckabee and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff visited Gaza to inspect food distribution centers amid hunger concerns. The visit aimed to deliver food and medical aid to civilians, not Hamas.

Netanyahu’s comments come as families of hostages push for a deal, with David’s brother Ilay speaking out against Hamas’ actions at a rally in Tel Aviv. The situation remains dire, with the US and Israel urging the global community to take action against Hamas’ “cruelty.”
