Israel Warns of Iranian Nuclear Threat Amid Renewed Talks

In an interview with The Media Line, Israeli General Amir Avivi hinted at Israeli involvement in a recent chemical strike on Iranian rocket fuel. He stated that the attack was likely premeditated, given that it targeted fuel for ballistic rockets.

Avivi expressed concerns about Iran’s intentions ahead of renewed US-Iran negotiations. He warned that Tehran believes it is gaining the upper hand and urged President Trump to choose between being like Churchill or Chamberlain. Avivi advocated for a massive airstrike to cripple Iran’s ability to respond, arguing this would stop the war and not create a new one.

Avivi reiterated Israel’s goals in the Gaza conflict: eradicating Hamas as a government and military entity, rescuing all hostages, and creating a reality where terror is no longer present. He emphasized that talks with Hamas are crucial but will launch a full-scale attack if negotiations fail.

The general also addressed troop morale, stating that soldiers’ confidence remains high as long as their objectives are clear. However, he noted that troops dislike feeling that time is being wasted or that they are in danger for unclear reasons. Avivi emphasized the importance of knowing that they will win the war to maintain high morale among troops.
