At least 92 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, with many gathering at aid sites to receive food assistance amid an ongoing hunger crisis.
The majority of those killed were in Gaza City and the north, including 64 who died since dawn on Thursday. Sixteen people waiting for aid near the Netzarim Corridor were also killed, along with 13 others charging electrical devices at a makeshift tent in Al Shati Refugee Camp.
Eyewitness Bassam Abu Shaar described an Israeli attack on a food aid site, saying “around 1am they started shooting at us… We couldn’t help them or even escape ourselves.” The attacks have become a daily routine, with humanitarian corridors turned into killing grounds.
The situation in Gaza has deteriorated further due to the ongoing blockade, leaving Palestinians forced to move to designated centers for basic supplies. Israeli forces claimed that “suspects” approached forces in the area of Netzarim, but no evidence was provided.
In addition to aid distribution centers, Israel also launched drone and aircraft attacks, killing 13 people at a charging point in Al Shati Refugee Camp and intensively bombing homes in Jabalia, northern Gaza. The situation is dire, with over 55,700 people killed and 130,101 wounded since the war began in October 2023.
As food aid becomes scarce, Palestinians are putting their lives at risk to receive what little assistance is available, highlighting the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
