A recent hate-filled march in Jerusalem has exposed the true goals of Israel’s far-right movement, which seeks to downplay the historical injustices faced by Palestinians. Seven years ago, a Jerusalem judge ruled that the Im Tirtzu organization shared characteristics with fascism due to its extremist views.
Im Tirtzu, an Israeli group, ran a campaign in 2016 to “debunk” the Palestinian narrative of the Nakba (catastrophe), or Israel’s creation. The campaign included a booklet titled “Nakba Kharta,” which translates to “Bullshit Nakba.” This material is still available on Im Tirtzu’s website.
The march in Jerusalem, where extremist groups paraded, further highlights the far-right’s anti-Palestinian agenda. The event underscores the ongoing struggles faced by Palestinians and serves as a reminder of the urgent need for a more equitable solution to the Israel-Gaza conflict.
