Israeli forces have clashed with Palestinian resistance fighters in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, killing and injuring several troops. The conflict is part of a 12-day period of widespread aggression across the region, including cities such as Tulkarem, Ramallah, Tubas, Hebron, and Nablus.
Palestinian resistance groups, including al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, and Islamic Jihad’s al-Quds Brigades, have released a statement detailing their operations. The fighters claim to have ambushed enemy troops and achieved confirmed hits.
The city of Jenin has been particularly affected, with 15,000 Palestinians displaced from the refugee camp and surrounding areas. Local officials report that over 100 homes have been destroyed, four hospitals are without water due to damaged supply lines, and 35% of the population lacks access to water.
Hamas leader Basem Naim warned earlier this month that the West Bank was a key target in future confrontations between Israel and Palestinian resistance groups. The conflict comes amid a broader backdrop of violence, with Israeli forces killing around 500 more Palestinians across the coastal territory since ending its military onslaught in Gaza.
