Israeli Groups Label Gaza Conflict as Genocide

Two prominent Israeli human rights groups have publicly concluded that Israel’s war on Gaza constitutes genocide. B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights — Israel made the assertion in a report titled “Our Genocide,” citing devastating effects on ordinary Palestinians, including tens of thousands killed, widespread destruction, forced displacement of nearly all Gazans, and restricted vital supplies.

The groups’ claim echoes those made by organizations like Amnesty International. However, the Israeli government has rejected these accusations as “baseless.” A government spokesman stated that troops were targeting Palestinian militants, not civilians. Despite this, Israel facilitated over 2 million tons of aid to Gaza. The International Court of Justice is currently considering a genocide case brought by South Africa against Israel.
