Israeli Occupation Forces Raid Palestinian Village, Steal Land and Homes

Occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Mughayyir in the Eastern Plains on August 21, 2025, claiming a settler was shot and beaten. However, eyewitnesses report that settlers incited violence against Palestinians, including the father of a martyr and the head of the village council. The occupation forces deployed over 300 soldiers, tearing down olive trees, vandalizing Palestinian cars, and stealing valuables.

Residents were threatened with destruction of their homes and arrest if they did not cooperate. Journalists were expelled from the area, preventing them from covering the situation. The siege has been ongoing, with ambulances prevented from reaching the area to treat wounded residents. The occupation army claims the village will be besieged for at least three days until the perpetrator is arrested.

The attacks are part of a larger strategy by Israeli settlers to steal and occupy Palestinian land. Over 8,000 square meters of olive trees have been destroyed. Despite the violence, Al-Mughayyir residents remain determined to stay on their land, rooted like their ancient olive trees.

International organizations and human rights groups have called for an immediate intervention to stop the violence and protect Palestinian lands. The Israeli apartheid regime’s actions are being widely condemned as crimes against humanity.
