Israeli Strike Kills at Least 11 Palestinians in Gaza

A strike by Israel overnight killed at least 11 Palestinians, including a police director general and his deputy, in southern Gaza. The Israeli military claimed the deputy was a “terrorist” involved in developing intelligence assessments with Hamas.

The killings come amid a period of intensified violence since Hamas-led attacks on October 7. Human rights agencies have warned that Israel’s sustained aid restrictions are hindering relief efforts in Gaza, citing lengthy truck inspections and damaged roads.

Palestinian police play a crucial role in delivering humanitarian aid to the besieged territory. The Ministry of Health reported that at least 45,581 Palestinians have been killed and over 108,400 injured since Israel’s war began.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with residents trying to recover survivors from destruction caused by Israeli bombardment. A 12-year-old girl recounted how her tent was destroyed without warning, leaving her baby on the verge of suffocating.

The killings have sparked outrage, with Palestinian officials accusing Israel of undermining law and order in the territory. The situation remains dire, with thousands displaced and living in makeshift tents made of cloth and nylon.
