Israeli Strike Kills Hamas Leader in Gaza Control Center

A body of Mohammed Sinwar, the former leader of Hamas in Gaza, was found in an underground control center allegedly near the European Hospital in Khan Younis. Israel’s military confirmed they killed Sinwar after verifying his body.

According to Palestinian officials, 12 people were killed and others wounded in an aid distribution point run by a US-backed group in the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces fired warning shots at approaching individuals, and witnesses reported nearby troops opening fire.

Over the past two weeks, shootings near new aid hubs have resulted in over 80 deaths. Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that at least 108 bodies were brought to hospitals within 24 hours. Israel struck dozens of militant targets throughout Gaza, claiming it was targeting militants.

The Gaza Strip’s 2 million Palestinians rely almost entirely on international aid due to the destruction of food production capabilities. The new aid hubs, run by a US-backed group, have been criticized for allowing Israel to control who receives aid and forcing people to relocate to aid sites.

Israel and the US accuse Hamas of stealing aid, but the UN denies this, stating the new system is unable to meet mounting needs and is being used as a tool for war. The conflict has left thousands desperate for food and other essential resources.
