At least 34 Palestinians have been killed and several others wounded by Israeli fire while waiting for humanitarian aid in central and southern Gaza Strip, hospital sources told Al Jazeera.
Israel has carried out multiple attacks on Gaza, killing at least 82 people, including aid seekers near distribution sites operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The foundation has distributed three million meals across its aid sites without an incident. However, the UN agency warns that the GHF distribution system is making a desperate situation worse.
UNICEF warned that the Gaza Strip faces a man-made drought due to collapsed water systems, and children will begin to die of thirst. A lack of public clarity on when the aid sites were open was causing mass casualty events.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for an end to Israel’s conflict with Iran and its genocide in Gaza, stating that the situation is “quickly reaching the point of no return.”
