Israel’s Gaza Conflict Leaves Hundreds Dead and Displaced

The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate as Israel’s military attacks claim more lives. At least 50,810 Palestinians have been killed, with over 115,688 injured since October 7, 2023, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticized Israel for its actions in Gaza, calling it a “war crime” and accusing the country of trampling humanity’s dignity. He also warned that expanding Israeli control over Gaza will benefit no one.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert blamed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not doing enough to stop extremist settlers’ attacks on Palestinians. The Hilltop Youth group, sanctioned by Western countries, has been accused of inciting violence against Palestinians.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry accuses Israel of blocking $1.8 billion in tax revenue, describing it as a “colonialist, racist political scheme.” This move is part of Israel’s strategy to exert pressure on the Palestinian Authority.

As the conflict rages on, at least two Palestinians have been killed in Israeli aerial attacks near Gaza City and a family has been left with flour infested with insects due to the crippling aid blockade. The death toll has risen to 58 Palestinians in the past 24 hours, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry.
